The SEC lets tokenized stocks trade on permissioned AMMs for five years
The conditional exemption, issued Thursday, covers tokenized National Market System (NMS) stocks. The same morning, CFTC staff opened introducing-broker relief to passive software providers, according to The Defiant.
Both actions came two days after the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act and a day after the SEC and CFTC chairmen said they would write crypto rules without it, The Defiant reports. Uniswap's token rose 19.8% over 24 hours.
Separately, the SEC's new rule on digital-asset custody for investment advisers and investment companies entered White House review. It follows the withdrawal of a separate 2023 proposal, the same outlet reports.
